Ief Daems

Ief Daems is currently the Legal Director Antitrust at Cisco, where they also hold the position of Associate General Counsel for Competition Law in the EMEA region. They have chaired the Fair Standards Alliance since 2021 and the Inhouse Competition Lawyers Association since 2020. Prior to their roles at Cisco, they worked as Legal Counsel for EU Affairs at Samsung Electronics and were an Associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP and Howrey. Ief earned a Master’s degree in International and European Politics from The University of Edinburgh, as well as multiple law degrees from Université de Namur and KU Leuven. They began their career as an intern at the European Commission's DG Competition.
