Irfan Ali

Irfan Ali is a seasoned professional in the telecommunications industry, currently serving as a 5G Systems Architect at Cisco since September 2017, where responsibilities include leading the 3GPP standards team. In addition to this role, Irfan is an Adjunct Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, teaching a Mobile Security course for the CyberFellows Master's program. Previously, Irfan contributed to NTT DOCOMO as a 3GPP Standards Expert and played a vital role as a Technical Expert and Co-Founder at İki Bilişim Teknoloji A.Ş. Moreover, experience includes part-time faculty positions at Istanbul Technical University and Bosphorus University, and engineering roles at Nokia Siemens Networks and Motorola. Irfan's foundational work in networking began at GE Corporate Research & Development. Irfan holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and multiple degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from prestigious institutions including Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
