Jon Heaton

Jon Heaton has extensive experience in network engineering and operations, most notably serving as the Director of Network Engineering and Operations at Cisco since December 2000, where responsibilities include leading the Network Architecture and Technical Leadership team and providing strategic guidance for Network Services. Jon has also directed innovative initiatives such as the Customer Zero program to enhance product development through close collaboration with engineering teams. Prior roles at Cisco involved senior management positions focusing on IT infrastructure, architecture and design, and unified communications, demonstrating a strong track record in technical leadership, fiscal planning, and strategic direction in various domains of IT. Jon's previous experience includes leadership roles at Intermedia Communications and MCI, as well as board positions with FIRST North Carolina and the North Carolina Technology Association. Jon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
