Julien Liang

Software Engineer

Julien Liang is a skilled technology professional with a strong background in software development and machine learning. Currently serving as an ML Research Assistant at Stanford University since February 2025, Julien is involved in the DiplometrAIcs initiative. Prior experience includes a role as a Software Developer at Bayou Technology Co, where backend development for data-intensive computing processes was undertaken, along with the creation of an AI transcription system prototype using Whisper and JAX. Julien also contributes as a Software Engineer at Cisco, focusing on improving QoS Classification on the IOS XR Operating System. Additional relevant experience includes positions with the University of Toronto Machine Intelligence Student Team, BlackBerry QNX, Ford Motor Company, and the University of Waterloo BioMechatronics Design Team.
