Luis Villatoro

Luis Villatoro is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in IT management and telecommunications. From April 2005 to July 2008, Luis served as an IT Manager at Marriott International, overseeing support and troubleshooting of ICT platforms while implementing disaster recovery and information security strategies. Following that, Luis worked as a Telecom and Infrastructure Specialist at GEORED from July 2011 to October 2012, where recommendations on IT strategies and virtualized infrastructure planning were key responsibilities. In 2015, Luis joined Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya as a Research and Development Engineer, focusing on creating automated infrastructure deployment platforms that improved efficiency by 70%. Most recently, in June 2021, Luis was a Solutions Architect at Cisco, leading infrastructure solution development and conducting technical workshops for clients. Luis holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering and Management from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and an Engineering degree in Telecommunications from Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana.
