Mark Thompson-Kolar

Mark Thompson-Kolar is currently a Senior Lead Design Researcher at Cisco Security, where they focus on cross-platform research for security-related applications. With a diverse background that includes roles as a design editor, usability auditor, and educator, Mark has conducted extensive usability testing and user research to influence product improvements. They hold a Master’s in Information from the University of Michigan, specializing in User Experience and Content Strategy, as well as a Master's in Journalism. Previously, Mark has held significant roles in various media and tech organizations, advocating for user-centered design principles and methodologies.
