Matt Birkner is an experienced networking professional with a proven track record in design, implementation, and support of complex networking infrastructure solutions. Currently serving as a Solutions Engineer at Cisco since April 2025, Matt focuses on strategy for web and hyperscalers in the Americas. Previously, at Intel Corporation, significant contributions were made in pre-sales and post-sales support as a CTO Staff - DevOps and Network System Engineer, along with expertise in Docker/Kubernetes architectures. Prior roles include a 5G Network and Security Solution Architect at AT&T, where customer-facing support and secure solution design were prioritized. With extensive experience dating back to 1992, including a distinguished tenure at Cisco and foundational work at MCI, Exide Electronics, and Aimtech Corporation, Matt has developed a deep knowledge in advanced technologies and customer service, supported by a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tufts University.
