Mel Tsai

Mel Tsai is a Distinguished Engineer at Cisco, specializing in Cisco Silicon One architecture, datacenter networking, and AI/ML applications. Mel's extensive experience includes previous roles as a Senior Engineer and Principal Engineer at Cisco, where they led the architecture of the Doppler network processor ASIC and developed high-performance ASIC modeling environments. Mel began their career as a Consultant at BDTI, focusing on digital signal processors and microcontrollers, and has contributed to various publications. They hold a Ph.D. in EECS from the University of California, Berkeley, along with a Master of Science and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and UC Berkeley, respectively.
