Merete Asak is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in network engineering and systems. Currently serving as a Board Member at GoforIT since August 2024, Merete focuses on fostering collaboration between IT practitioners and academics in the realm of IT and sustainability. With a longstanding tenure at Cisco since July 2007, Merete has held various titles, including CTO and Head of Systems Engineering, Network Consulting Engineer, and Systems Engineer. Prior experience includes roles at TDC Song AS as a Senior Network Engineer, Merete Asak Consulting as a Network Consultant, WiCom as a Network Consultant, and Cisco Systems as a Network Engineer. Merete holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from The Norwegian School of Information Technology, completed in 2004.
