Mike Wright

Mike Wright is a highly experienced engineering professional with a career at Cisco starting in April 1996, currently serving as Principal Engineer and Silicon Development Manager. In this role, Mike leads a team of Silicon Engineers in various disciplines, overseeing the development of silicon and system solutions through cross-functional collaboration. Previously, Mike held the position of ASIC Development Senior Manager, managing a sizable design and engineering team focused on integrating novel technologies into routing platforms. Additionally, Mike’s earlier roles at Cisco include ASIC Development Manager and ASIC Engineer, with notable achievements such as inventing Cisco's first Networking Processor. Prior to Cisco, Mike worked at IBM in the Networking Hardware and S390 Systems divisions, specializing in RTL design and mainframe processor design. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clarkson University.
