Nigel Hsu

Nigel Hsu currently serves as the Director and Associate General Counsel for IP Operations at Cisco, a position held since January 2020. Prior to this role, Nigel Hsu was the Head of Legal Operations at Waymo from March 2017 to January 2020, and before that, headed Intellectual Property Operations at Verily Life Sciences from October 2015 to March 2017. Nigel Hsu's career includes significant experience at Google, where responsibilities included serving as Patent Operations Lead and Associate Patent Agent from June 2012 to October 2015. Earlier in their career, from January 2008 to June 2009, Nigel Hsu worked as a Research Assistant at the University of California, Los Angeles, focusing on novel biochemical therapies for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Nigel Hsu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Science from UCLA and a Doctor of Law from the University of San Francisco.
