Peter Jones

Peter Jones is a distinguished engineer currently with Cisco, where they play a pivotal role in the Enterprise, IoT, and Data Center Networking Hardware team. With over 30 years of experience in software and system architecture, Peter has previously held significant positions as Principal Engineer and Distinguished Engineer at Cisco, and as Project Manager at Datacraft. They have actively contributed to various IEEE standards as a consensus builder and chair, including multiple ad hoc committees focused on Ethernet technology. Peter also serves as an advisor at Silicon Catalyst and has held leadership positions in the Ethernet Alliance and NBASE-T Alliance. They obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Physics from the University of Western Australia.
