Ramnath Rao

Ramnath Rao has over 16 years of experience at Cisco, currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering, where there is a focus on evolving Cisco’s “ACI Anywhere” Data Center automation strategy. Previous roles include Director of Engineering, where Ramnath founded an internal startup that developed the first Cloud Native Broadband Router, and another position that generated a new revenue stream of $500M through innovative infrastructure solutions. Ramnath also held the role of Senior Manager in Software Development, leading modernization efforts in enterprise networks while managing significant budgets and software release programs. Ramnath holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Madras.
