Rick West

Rick West is a results-oriented security research technical leader at Cisco Systems, specializing in product security with extensive experience in network infrastructure, security architecture, and cryptography. They served as a lead evaluator and security consultant at Arca Common Criteria Testing Laboratory from 2003 to 2009, where they led evaluations of IT security products and authored formal evaluation reports. Rick has held various roles in respected companies, including principal technical security advocate at EMC and senior network analyst at American Express. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and are currently pursuing Microsoft and Novell LAN certificate programs at Clark University, Computer Career Institute.
