Scott Empson

Instructor

Scott Empson is an accomplished author and educator with extensive experience in technology and education. As the creator and lead author of the Cisco Press Portable Command Guide Series since August 2004, Scott has focused on topics such as CCNA, CCNA Security, CCNP Enterprise, and CCIE. In addition to this role, Scott served as Program Chair for the Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology at NAIT from May 2010 to February 2018, overseeing a 4-year degree program while also providing instruction in Cisco Systems Technologies and Leadership courses. Since February 2000, Scott has been the main contact for the Cisco Networking Academy at NAIT in Edmonton, Alberta. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration, and various technical qualifications, including a Computer Network Administrator Certificate and a Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology focusing on Network Management.
