Shiva Persaud

Shiva Persaud is the Director of Security Engineering at Cisco Systems, where they lead a team of security engineers dedicated to enhancing the security of the technology developed by the company. Since 2021, Shiva has focused on overseeing Cisco’s Security Development Lifecycle and providing pen testing services. Previously, from 2011 to 2021, they held roles as a Technical Leader and Senior Security Engineering Manager, where they led security research teams in product evaluations and built a culture that encourages innovation in security. Prior to Cisco, Shiva worked as a Software Engineer at IBM, contributing to security features in the AIX operating system. Shiva earned a degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1998 to 2002.
