Vijay Tapaskar

Vijay Tapaskar is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as Vice President Of Engineering at Cisco since August 2021, Vijay leads a team of over 400 engineers focused on delivering advanced 8K switching platforms for Web and Service Provider Markets while driving innovations in SONIC and AI/ML clusters. Prior to Cisco, Vijay co-founded ZEDEDA, where guidance was provided for product development and operational management, in addition to leading engineering, operations, and customer success. Vijay's career includes critical roles at Skyport Systems, where involvement in a secure computing platform was pivotal, and Juniper Networks, where leadership in engineering resulted in the development of JunOS EVO and significant revenue growth in new product lines. Earlier experience at Cisco Systems encompassed significant contributions to IOS on Linux (IOS-XE) and network function virtualization. Vijay holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Pune Institute of Computer Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
