Christopher Peterson

Christopher Peterson has extensive work experience in software engineering and DevOps roles. Christopher is currently the VP of Software Engineering, SRE at Cision, where they are responsible for hiring and leading teams of Site Reliability Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Software Engineers. Prior to this role, they served as the Sr. Director of Software Engineering, DevOps at RetailMeNot, where they were in charge of hiring and managing Data Science, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, SRE, and DevOps teams. Christopher also worked as the Sr. Director Software Engineering, SRE at Valassis, where they led and directed software engineering and SRE teams. Before that, they held various roles at Valassis, Amazon Web Services, Infospace, Cadence Preferred, and Alaska Airlines, gaining experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, systems development, and distributed systems.

Christopher Peterson attended Northwest University from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. In addition to their degree, they also obtained certifications in AWS Certified SysOps Administrator from Amazon Web Services in October 2015 and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Level from Amazon Web Services in November 2014.
