Jay Danielsen

Jay Danielsen has over 38 years of work experience in various technical roles in the software engineering field. Jay is currently working as a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Cision since November 2021. Prior to joining Cision, Jay worked at Valassis Digital where they held the positions of Director of Software Engineering, Data Platform from August 2018 to November 2021, and Chief Architect, Digital Media from August 2011 to October 2018. Before Valassis Digital, they worked at Oracle Corporation as a Principal Member of the Technical Staff from 2010 to August 2011. Jay also has experience working at Sun Microsystems in various roles including Cloud Engineering from 2002 to February 2010, and as a Systems Engineer from 1992 to 2002. Jay began their career at Watkins-Johnson as an MTS/Software Systems Manager from 1983 to 1992.

Jay Danielsen earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Purdue University, where they studied from 1979 to 1983. Jay then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Santa Clara University, completing their studies from 1986 to 1989.
