Mats E. Sjöblom has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Mats E. started their career in 1984 as a Programmer at Postgirot, where they developed software in Fortran, Pascal, Assembly language, and C for Systel videotex system. Mats E. then worked as a Unix Consultant at OmniConsult for eight months in 1989.
In the same year, they joined Dataskrift Software AB as a Unix Consultant, where they provided consultancy work and software development under Unix and OS-32. Since 2000, Mats has been with Cision as a Senior Software Engineer. Their primary responsibilities include designing and developing electronic distribution application and related systems. Mats E. started with the company when it was known as BIT Börslistans Informationstjänst and went through several name changes and mergers before becoming Cision.

Mats E. Sjöblom attended Stockholm University from 1997 to 1998, where they studied Computer Science.
