Senior Software Engineer

Mats E. Sjöblom has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Mats E. started their career in 1984 as a Programmer at Postgirot, where they developed software in Fortran, Pascal, Assembly language, and C for Systel videotex system. Mats E. then worked as a Unix Consultant at OmniConsult for eight months in 1989.

In the same year, they joined Dataskrift Software AB as a Unix Consultant, where they provided consultancy work and software development under Unix and OS-32. Mats E. developed an HP LaserJet II emulator and terminal emulators, and rewrote the "Platsautomat" system in C for the Swedish National Labour Market Board.

In 1994, Mats joined the Swedish National Labour Market Board as a Data Processing Expert. Mats E. engaged in general UNIX software development and infrastructure planning, including the development and web implementation of the public employment terminal system. Mats E. also designed and built statistics presentation web for labour market statistics, trained web editors, and acted as a technical liaison in the EU/EEA cross-border employment project "EURES".

Mats then worked as a Consultant/Project Manager at Cybercom Relations AB from 1999 to 2000. Mats E. served as a technical project manager and developer at PostGirot Bank, where they recreated functionality of legacy hardware in software, designed a new common dial-in solution, and developed IP-based client platforms.

Since 2000, Mats has been with Cision as a Senior Software Engineer. Their primary responsibilities include designing and developing electronic distribution application and related systems. Mats E. started with the company when it was known as BIT Börslistans Informationstjänst and went through several name changes and mergers before becoming Cision.

Overall, Mats E. Sjöblom has accumulated significant expertise in software development, UNIX systems, project management, and technical consulting throughout their career.

Mats E. Sjöblom attended Stockholm University from 1997 to 1998, where they studied Computer Science. Prior to that, from 1980 to 1984, they attended Åsö Gymnasium Technical College and obtained a degree in Gymnasieingenjör (Technical Engineer) with a focus on Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Mats E. Sjöblom also holds certifications in Professional Scrum Development and Professional Scrum Master, both obtained in June 2014 from Scrum.org.
