Senior UX Researcher at Cision

Xing Huang, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of design research and user experience. Xing worked as a Sr. Design Researcher at Cision since May 2022 and previously held the position of Design Researcher from August 2021 to May 2022. Before joining Cision, Xing worked as a Research Intern at Facebook from June 2019 to September 2019. Xing also served as a Teaching Assistant at North Carolina State University, where they were responsible for leading seminars on designing the workplace of the future and providing data science and data visualization consulting services. Xing's teaching assistant roles took place from January 2019 to May 2019 and from January 2017 to May 2017. Xing also gained experience as a User Experience Design and Research Assistant at Beihang University from October 2013 to February 2015 and as a UX Research and Design intern at Microsoft from November 2012 to February 2013.

Xing Huang, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Visual Communication Design from Beihang University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. During their time at Beihang University, they also participated in a study abroad program at the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology from 2011 to 2012, focusing on Design and Visual Communications.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Xing pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Human Computer Interaction at Peking University, which they completed from 2013 to 2015. During this period, Xing focused on the field of Human Computer Interaction and its applications.

Subsequently, Xing Huang pursued a Ph.D. at North Carolina State University from 2015 to 2021. Their Ph.D. research primarily centered around Design Research, UX Research, and Cognitive Science, indicating their expertise in the analysis of user experience and the impact of design on cognition.

In addition to their formal education, Xing holds additional certifications from Lynda.com. They obtained the certification in "Design Thinking: Implementing the Process" in November 2018, and also completed the "NVivo 2018 Essential Training" certification at the same time.
