Erik Franks has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Erik started their career in 2004 as a Product Management Analyst at OutlookSoft. In 2009, they worked at Velocity Airplane as an Airplane Builder & Test Pilot until 2012. From 2013 to 2017, Erik worked at Masten Space Systems, first as a Rocket Systems Engineer and later as an Operations Manager. During their time at Masten Space Systems, they were responsible for various tasks such as facilities management, accounting, purchasing, and safety programs.

In 2014, Erik joined the International Space University USA Alumni Association as the Director of Information Technologies and Communications, a role they held until 2018. At this position, they oversaw IT and communication-related activities within the organization.

Following their role at the International Space University USA Alumni Association, Erik worked as a Financial Consultant at Space for Humanity for a brief period in 2020. Later in 2020, they joined Cislune as the CEO and remained in this role till the present. In the same year, they also took on the role of Director of Sales at Benchmark Space Systems, where they served until November 2021.

Prior to their recent roles, Erik founded Frugal Media Inc. in 2002 and served as the CEO until 2010. During their time at Frugal Media Inc., they successfully managed a $3M/year business with 50 employees and developed strong relationships with major book suppliers. Erik also gained extensive experience in HR and operations management, retail store operations, and various programming skills.

In 2014, Erik obtained a CPR/First Aid certification from Antelope Valley College. This certification indicates their competence in providing crucial medical assistance during emergency situations.
