CISP – the International Committee for the Development of Peoples – is a rights-based international NGO founded in Rome in 1983. We are committed to advancing sustainable development and social justice by supporting locally driven solutions that promote human rights, equity, and resilience.
With a long-standing presence in over 30 countries worldwide, CISP works in close partnership with communities, civil society, governments, academia, and the private sector to strengthen local systems and foster inclusive growth.
In Africa, we operate in Ethiopia, Sudan, Somalia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Niger, and Mali, focusing on:

Across all our interventions, we prioritize capacity building of local partners, community participation, and empowerment.
