Sameer Khan

Sameer Khan has extensive work experience in the technology and financial sectors. Sameer is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Citadel Securities since April 2019. Previously, they held the position of Executive Director at Morgan Stanley from January 2017 to March 2019, where they were responsible for managing the Equity Derivatives technology platforms and leading teams of developers in Mumbai. Sameer also served as a Vice President at Morgan Stanley from April 2014 to January 2017.

Before joining Morgan Stanley, Sameer worked as a Vice President at J.P. Morgan from May 2013 to April 2014, where they developed a TBA pricing application and implemented a messaging component for natural API development. Prior to that, they were a Senior Developer at Citadel from May 2010 to March 2013. In this role, they designed a multi-asset trading GUI product and built various tools and applications for order management and execution monitoring.

Sameer started their career as an Associate at Lab49 from April 2008 to April 2010, leading the redevelopment of a municipal bond trading front-end for Citi Bank. Sameer also contributed ideas for trader workflow improvements and regularly demonstrated progress to the head of prop trading.

Before Lab49, Sameer worked as a Consultant at Countrywide Securities from March 2003 to April 2008, and as a Project Manager at HCL America from March 2002 to April 2008. Sameer began their career as an Engineer at Ericsson from January 2001 to January 2002 and at Datamatics from 1999 to 2001.

Sameer Khan began their education at St. Blaise from 1984 to 1991. Sameer then attended Mithibai College of Science from 1991 to 1993, where they focused on the field of Science. Following this, Sameer pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Mumbai from 1993 to 1998. During this period, they also studied Computer Science at NIIT from 1995 to 1997, although they did not receive a degree from this institution.
