Software Engineer at Citadel Securities

William Eustace has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. William started their career at ASV Global in 2015, where they gained exposure to naval architecture, electronics, and software departments during their four-day work experience. William assisted with checking PCB designs during their time there.

In the same year, they had a week-long work experience placement at SIMS Ltd, a company specializing in railway signaling installation and maintenance. William learned the basics of signaling schematic conventions, redrew schematics into CAD for use in line maintenance jobs, and checked stopping distance calculations.

In 2017, William interned at Leonardo for two months as a Microwave Engineering Intern. William primarily worked on microwave design projects using ADS/Momentum software, conducted thermal design work, and assisted with component selection. William also had some involvement in lab work.

Their next internship was at Plextek RFI in 2019, where they served as a Microwave Engineering intern. Here, they worked on an extensive research project related to analog pre-distortion for millimeter-wave power amplifiers. William designed a test piece for fabrication and developed a software suite in Python to automate RF test and measurement, including creating a basic GUI.

Most recently, in 2021, William joined Citadel Securities as a Software Engineer. In this role, they are involved in Rates Market Making and utilizes C++ and Python. William collaborates closely with trading and quant research teams to enhance their technology stack and deliver business value.

Overall, William Eustace's work experience showcases their technical skills in engineering, software development, and microwave engineering, as well as their ability to collaborate effectively with different teams.

William Eustace completed their high school education at St Paul's School from 2012 to 2016. William then pursued a degree in Electronic and Information Engineering at the University of Cambridge from 2016 to 2020, graduating with an MEng and BA (Cantab) degree.
