Bill Windle

Bill Windle, CFA, is an experienced leader in weather risk management with a diverse background spanning over two decades in the financial and energy sectors. Currently serving as Head of US Weather Risk Management Origination at Citadel since April 2020, Windle oversees the provision of structured hedges for weather-related risks. Prior roles include Managing Director positions at Munich Re Trading LLC and RenaissanceRe, where Windle focused on sourcing global opportunities and expanding sales channels in weather and energy markets. Windle has also held key positions at Takara Capital Management, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, Enron Global Markets, Koch Industries, and TRACTEBEL. A retired Captain from the US Navy Reserve, Windle holds an MBA in Finance from Rice Business, a graduate degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
