Michael Lutz has extensive experience in software engineering and team leadership within the financial technology sector. Currently serving as Team Lead for Global Order Entry at Citadel since November 2018, Michael oversees a development team focused on order entry and reconciliation across various asset classes and regions. Prior to this role, Michael held positions as a Senior Software Engineer at Tower Research Capital, where high-frequency trading infrastructure was developed, and at Bloomberg LP, where low-latency market data delivery systems were implemented. Michael also contributed as an Engineer/Scientist at Hewlett-Packard, where middleware for grid storage was architected, and served as a Principal Engineer at Beckman Instruments, implementing embedded firmware for clinical analyzers. Additionally, Michael has teaching experience as a part-time Lecturer at California State University, Fullerton, and began their career as a Senior Engineer at MAI Basic Four. Michael holds a B.S. in Computer Science from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and an M.S. in Computer Engineering from California State University, Long Beach.
