Sameer Maru

Sameer Maru is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in portfolio management and investment strategies. Since January 2020, Sameer has served as a Portfolio Manager at Citadel, following a tenure as Founder at USM Capital from September 2018 to December 2019. Prior to this, Sameer held the position of Managing Director at Goldman Sachs from February 2000 to July 2018, where responsibilities included managing a relative value long/short Corporate CDO book and trading various financial instruments such as cash CLOs, synthetic tranches, single name CDS, and indices. Sameer's career began at Arthur Andersen as a Senior from 1997 to 1999. Sameer holds a CFA from the CFA Institute (2000-2002), a CA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (1995-1998), and a B Com from the University of Mumbai (1992-1997).
