CITCEA-UPC is a research and innovation centre in the area of electrical engineering and industrial electronics. Belongs to the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, BarcelonaTech, and is part of the TECNIO network from ACCIO, Generalitat de Catalunya and is recognized by AGAUR, Generalitat de Catalunya, as a Research Group. It was founded in 2001.
Its capabilities range from power electronics-based equipment for power generation, transportation, distribution and use of electrical energy to energy efficiency, energy management systems using optimization techniques, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
CITCEA-UPC also offers specialized training services for professionals in their field of competence.
