CITES is a Venture builder, supported by a 24MU$S VC fund that co-creates, along founders, scientific-based startups. With a deep tech focus, CITES invests at the startups’ formation stage, through seed and series A. With over 30MU$S in assets under management, CITES is uniquely equipped, and positioned, to enable the development of scientific-based entrepreneurs, and the deep tech ecosystem in the region.

Besides the capital investments, CITES supports its portfolio companies by providing office space, with fully equipped labs, team formation resources and trainings, hands-on technology expertise, IP and product development guidance, and insights for business strategy, networking, and fundraising processes, among others.

Founded in 2013, initially backed by Sancor Seguros Group – the leading insurance company in Argentina, CITES has been a pioneer in the deep tech venture building space. In 2017, CITES was awarded the Scientific Accelerator Program Franchise from SePyME, and in 2020, listed its first financial trust (CITES I), in the Argentine stock exchange – the first listed VC vehicle in the region.
