Citizen Songwriters brings people together across the North East of England to create meaningful songs all about the people and places that matter to them. Citizen Songwriters aims to strengthen communities, support people who are isolated and enable individuals to participate in the cultural life of their community.

We are a small group of freelance musicians who design and deliver inclusive workshops and performances to celebrate the arts, culture and heritage of local places. Our work supports communities who have not had opportunities to create music, and where new songs will make a strong social and cultural impact.
