Patrick Macfarland

Patrick Macfarland has worked in a variety of roles in the public and private sectors. From 2013 to 2017, they were a teacher at Sweetwater Union High School District. In 2016, they were a Field Organizer for San Diego Democrats for Equality and Campaign Manager for Mark West for IB City Council. In 2017, they served as a Housing Advisory Commissioner and City Council Candidate for the City of Chula Vista. From 2018 to 2020, they were Office Manager for the San Diego County Democratic Party and in 2021 they were South Area Secretary for the same organization. Currently, they are working as a Content Writer for both CitizenShipper and VeraContent.

Patrick Macfarland received their Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from San Diego State University in 2010. Patrick then went on to obtain a Teaching Credential in Single Subject- Spanish and Social Science from the same university in 2012. In 2013, they earned a Master of Arts in European Union Studies from the Centre international de formation européenne.
