Bas H. is a seasoned expert in psychometric research and test development, currently serving as the Head of Team Psychometric Research & Services at CitoLab since August 1996. With extensive experience as a project manager, Bas has led various research initiatives, including supporting the Seamless Education project for the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago and conducting national assessments. As a Senior Research Scientist and Team Lead, Bas specializes in test quality assurance, item response theory, and large-scale assessment projects, while also contributing to consultancy services. Active in the field, Bas is a member of the COTAN subcommittee on test fairness at the Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen and has previously held academic positions, including Assistant Professor at Katholieke Universiteit Brussel. Bas earned a PhD Cum Laude from Universiteit Utrecht, focusing on unidimensional IRT models, and holds a Master's degree in Work and Organizational Psychology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
