Robert Gardner

Robert Gardner is an experienced tax professional with a robust background in state and local taxation. Currently serving as an Independent Consultant at RBG SALT since May 2017, Robert specializes in SALT consulting, planning, due diligence, and controversy support. As the State and Local Tax Manager at Citrin Cooperman since August 2013, responsibilities include managing tax audits and controversies. Prior experience includes a Senior Associate position at WTS LLC, focusing on advising business entities on various tax issues and handling federal and state tax controversies, as well as roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Kulzer & DiPadova, P.A., where foundational skills in tax law and planning were developed. Robert holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Villanova University and multiple degrees in Biology and Pre-Medicine from Boston College.
