Max Leake

Max Leake has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Max began their career as a Musician in 1975, recording, composing, arranging and performing with various renowned jazz and blues artists. Max earned recognition as the "Best Jazz Keyboardist" in the In Pittsburgh music awards multiple times. In addition, Max started their own music production company and composed and performed music for websites, videos, planetarium shows, and CD-ROMs for advertising and multimedia production companies.

In 1998, Max became the Manager of Multimedia Development at CommerSel, where they managed animation and video services, while also handling web development, network engineering, and server and PC troubleshooting and maintenance. Max played a significant role in building the IT infrastructure for the company.

In 2002, Max worked as an IT Consultant for Computer and Internet Technology Services, where they configured, implemented, and maintained hardware, software, and networks for small businesses, as well as designed and implemented websites for businesses and entertainers.

In 2006, Max joined the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center/ WISER as a Web/Multimedia Developer at the Peter M. Winter Institute for Simulation Education and Research. Their responsibilities included conducting research and developing training programs using simulation-based education to enhance patient safety at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and its affiliates.

In their most recent role, Max became an Adjunct Professor at the Duquesne University Mary Pappert School of Music in 2017.

Between 1990 and 2004, Max worked as a technician at Benack Sound Productions.
