Andi McDaniel

Andi McDaniel is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in content leadership and innovation. As the Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of City Cast since January 2021, Andi has played a pivotal role in developing a national network of local podcasts and newsletters across 13 cities. Previously, Andi served as Chief Content Officer and Senior Director of Content & News at WAMU 88.5, where transformative changes were implemented within the NPR station while managing a substantial budget. Andi's background also includes directing content strategy and innovation at TPT - Twin Cities PBS, where the Rewire unit was initiated, alongside early positions in journalism and production at notable organizations such as CBS 5 and PBS FRONTLINE. Academic qualifications include a Master’s in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from Trinity University.
