Jon Moro

Jon Moro has a diverse and extensive work experience in the marine industry. Jon started their career as a Captain with NY Waterway in 2002 and worked there until 2006. From 2007 onwards, they held various Captain roles with different companies such as National Park Service, New York Water Taxi and Circle Line Downtown, and Entertainment Cruises Inc. In 2012, they worked as the Director of Marine Operations at DC Harbor Cruises. In 2015, they became a Captain at Entertainment Cruises Inc. and continued in that role until 2018. In 2018, they took on the position of Marine Operations Manager at District Wharf Taxi and also became the Associate Director of Marine Operations at Hornblower Cruises and Events. Jon later transitioned to the role of Marine Operations Manager at Hornblower Cruises and Events. Additionally, in 2007, they established their own company, Captain Moro LLC, where they worked as a Captain and Marine Surveyor. Throughout their career, Jon Moro demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in marine operations.

Jon Moro completed Basic and Advanced Firefighting, Life Boat, Personal Safety, and Survival training at the Military Sealift Command in 2009. In 2007, they attended the Chapman School of Seamanship, where they obtained a degree in Small Craft and Yacht Surveying. Additionally, in 2001 to 2002, Jon Moro attended Sea School and earned a degree in OUPV and 100-ton masters upgrade, focusing on Marine Transportation.
