The City Rail Link  is the largest infrastructure project ever to be undertaken in New Zealand.  The CRL is a 3.45km twin-tunnel underground rail link up to 42 metres below the city centre transforming the downtown Britomart Transport Centre into a two-way through-station that better connects the Auckland rail network. 

Auckland’s annual population growth demands the completion of this complex project within tight timeframes.  The CRL team are consistently challenged with tunnelling through an established city; construction on reclaimed land; the gradient of the tunnel; and the proximity of our central Britomart station to the harbour.  

We are proud to say we have a Safety and Sustainability lens on all of our construction work and have embraced Maori design throughout our station design.
