Ben Gilbart

Ben is an energy consultant at City Science, who recently completed a PhD in low-temperature plasma simulation at the University of Liverpool. Before that he worked at Western Power Distribution, helping to increase efficiency across the electricity network. He now uses the knowledge he gained to help us reach net zero by forecasting future energy systems through modelling, data analysis and optimisation. Outside of work, Ben is usually found scouring the map to find the steepest possible hill to cycle up, or writing soothing music for the piano.
