Alex Sakin

Alex Sakin has over 40 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Alex began their career in 1980 as an Engineer, Senior Engineer, and Project Leader at Neftnehimavtomatika. In 1994, they became a R&D Engineer at Hebrew University. From 1997 to 2007, they worked at Medis EL Ltd as an Electro Optical Engineer and Senior R&D Engineer. During this time, they developed electro optical spectral devices for medical applications, explosives detectors, and conducted end to end testing. From 2007 to 2009, they were a Senior Validation Engineer at More Energy, where they worked on machine vision systems, solutions for production equipment/process optimization, testing, tooling and measuring equipment, and documentation creation. From 2009 to 2013, they were a Prototype Development Lab Engineer at RED-C Optical Networks Ltd, where they tested and engineered changes of optical amplifiers prototypes and worked with lab equipment like OSA, ESA, scope, and OPM. Finally, from 2013 to 2016, they were a Senior Validation & Verification Engineer at Finisar Corporation (NASDAQ: FNSR), where they conducted end to end systems testing, validation and verification including optics, hardware, and software, lab experiments and measurements, and automatic test algorithms creation.

Alex Sakin attended ITMO University from 1973 to 1980, where they obtained a Master of Science in Electro optics.
