Civic Root Advocacy is a civic engagement, democratic participation and public policy advocacy non-profit comnpany dedicated to advancing equity, justice, and inclusive governance. We believe that public policy should be rooted in the voices, needs, and lived experiences of communities, and not just the interests of the powerful and politically connected few.

Through evidence-based research, civic engagement, and coalition-building, we influence policy outcomes that promote systemic change and advance social progress. Born out of the legacy of grassroots resistance, we are committed to ensuring that public policy in South Africa reflects the lived realities of its people.

We work at the intersection of community organizing, civic education, policy reform, and economic justice, amplifying public voices and holding institutions accountable to the values of the Constitution: dignity, equality, and justice for all.
