Brian Wheeler is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology, communications, and nonprofit media. Currently serving as Lead Solutions Engineer at CivicPlus since March 2022, Brian has previously held various engineering roles within the company. Prior to this, Brian was the Director of Communications for the City of Charlottesville, advising the City Manager on strategic communications and co-managing the implementation of a new mobile-first website. As Executive Director at Charlottesville Tomorrow, Brian developed a national model for nonprofit online news and media partnerships, while earlier roles included managing information systems at SNL Financial and serving on the Albemarle County School Board. Brian holds a BA in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
