Heidi Sides is the Founding Data Research Manager at CivilGrid, where they lead a high-volume data operations team focused on utility and geospatial data management. Previously, they served as a Data Specialist at CivilGrid, developing automation tools and managing geospatial datasets. Heidi’s experience also includes roles as a Geographic Information Systems Technician at Theorem Geo and a GIS Intern in York County, South Carolina. They hold a Master of Arts in Geography with a focus on Geographic Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a degree in Environmental Studies from Winthrop University. Currently, Heidi is also an adjunct instructor at Winthrop University.
