Since its founding in 2001, the firm has concentrated its practice on landscapes that underscore the specific identities of the city. With the strong belief that public space is a primary manifestation of a sense of collectivity, civiliti considers that the form we give our public spaces models the idea of community and inscribes it physically in the landscape. civiliti pursues a well-established contemporary practice, focused on the reflection and building of public space in its most widely accepted meaning.

The firm's practice and expertise includes the design of public urban landscapes and parks, the planning and design of streetscapes, the integration of urban infrastructures, the conception of commemorative designs as well as the architecture of civil engineering structures. The firm also produces studies in urban integration and broad urban design masterplans. At each step, the team assures a rigorous follow-through in order to achieve the highest standards of quality. In every project, the process concentrates on the meaning of place and the event of creating public spaces in at times unexpected circumstances and contexts. The interest in landscape, territory and infrastructure as public entities demonstrates an understanding of the role of urban design at the confluence of design disciplines including architecture, urbanism and civil engineering.
