Iain Padley

Iain Padley is a product manager with Civitech since 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director of Technology Strategy (Product) at Leadership for Educational Equity from 2013-2022. In this role, they managed a portfolio of innovation projects leveraging design and technology to solve mission-critical problems. Iain led a team of internal and external full-stack developers working on multiple projects for 8+ years. Iain also developed a browser-based application empowering users to design, purchase, print, and send direct mail to targeted audiences. Additionally, they product managed the company's first enterprise-level MySQL data warehouse and designed, developed, and deployed software for tracking real-time school board vacancy announcements.

From 2015-2016, Iain worked as an Election Technology Consultant, where they developed stakeholder engagement and product testing strategies for a non-profit research institute working to build and implement publicly-owned election technology. Iain also designed pilot programs to field test emerging election technology, including polling place wait time calculators and election results reporting systems.

From 2016-2013, Iain was a Fellow at the Riordan Leadership Institute, a Campaigns Coordinator at Parent Revolution, a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs at Coro Southern California, and a Redistricting Fellow and Campaign Staffer at the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO.

Iain Padley received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Richmond, The American International University in London in 2010. Iain also studied Arabic at The American University in Cairo from 2008 until present.
