Tim Walker

Tim Walker is a seasoned professional in waste management and sustainability, currently serving as a Fellow at the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) and as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of arc21, an umbrella partnership for waste management representing six councils in Northern Ireland. Tim has extensive experience with Belfast City Council, where responsibilities include managing waste and recycling services and overseeing a significant budget and staff. Previous roles include Head of Waste Management at Belfast City Council and Market Development Manager at Viridor. Tim's educational background includes a PhD in Business Administration and Management, along with various sustainability and circular economy certifications from prestigious institutions, including the United Nations System Staff College and HarvardX.
