Tim Moreton

Tim Moreton's work experience begins in 2002 when they worked as a PhD Researcher for the XenoServers project at the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory. In this role, they contributed to the creation of the Xen VM hypervisor and worked on decentralized reputation and token mechanisms.

In 2005, Tim became the CEO of Kianga Technologies, where they remained until 2008.

From 2007 to 2009, Tim served as a Senior Software Engineer at Tideway Systems.

In 2009, Tim co-founded Acunu and served as its CEO before becoming the CTO. Acunu focused on real-time analytics and visualizations over Apache Cassandra. They raised $11M and grew the team to 40 while achieving $5M ARR prior to acquisition.

Tim joined Apple in 2013 as the Principal Engineering Manager, Data Infrastructure, and held this role until 2017.

In 2020, Tim became an Advisor to Vana.

In 2021, Tim co-founded Ponto, a company that connects global financial products to local economies and provides infrastructure for new financial technologies.

Lastly, Tim joined cLabs in 2018 as the Head of Engineering. Tim currently holds the position of CEO at the company.

Tim Moreton received their education at the University of Cambridge. Tim first attended from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts with Honors followed by a Master of Arts in Computer Science. Later, from 2002 to 2007, they pursued a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the same institution.
