Dan Severson

Dan Severson, CMI, MBA, is a Director of State and Local Tax at CLA, where they help clients navigate sales tax challenges. With extensive experience in tax audit defense, compliance, and multi-state taxability reviews, Dan also formerly owned and consulted for Sales Tax Services LLC, specializing in sales and use tax issues. Prior to their current role, Dan spent a decade as a Senior Sales and Use Tax Auditor for the Minnesota Department of Revenue, conducting audits for various entities and contributing to industry training. Dan holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing at Wartburg College.
