David Fontes is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) with an MBA. Currently serving as Managing Principal of the Rhode Island and New Bedford offices at CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) since January 2021, David has extensive experience in accounting and finance. Prior to CLA, David was a Partner and Principal at BlumShapiro from January 2016 to December 2020 and held various managerial positions at BlumShapiro and its predecessor firm, Sullivan & Company CPAs, after their merger in January 2013. David began a career in accounting at Syner, Cavallaro & Cabral, LLP from September 2004 to December 2005 before transitioning to a managerial role at Sullivan & Company. David holds an MBA from Bryant University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Plymouth State University.
