Michael Daniel

Michael Daniel is a Tax Director at CLA with 23 years of experience as a CPA specializing in federal tax, particularly in partnerships, and has been a tax attorney for 16 years. Throughout their career, Michael has focused on oil and gas tax matters and partnership/joint venture taxation since 2003, managing various tax functions for a multi-billion dollar E&P company and representing clients during IRS audits. They hold a B.B.A. in Accounting and an M.S.A. in Taxation from Texas Tech University, as well as a Juris Doctorate from the Texas Tech University School of Law. Previously, Michael has held positions at companies such as Weaver, KPMG, and Lewis Energy Group, where they built and managed tax departments.
